Ya, I think you do the trade and then make some additional moves to shore up your pitching.

Thanks for the help on mine. I'm unfortunately going to go against everyone else here, sorry. There is no guarantee that Carp and Smoltz stay healthy when they get back, and in terms of the deal, I like you're side much better. I'm soured on Rollins, and while Utley would be a nice upgrade over Phillips, you'd be hurting your OF. I'm not opposed to you dealing Gallardo for a bat, but I don't think this is the deal.

You don't have the staff to weather losing gallardo, he's legit and I say top 10 at the end of the year. Especially if you're giving up grady who is just ridiculous. Rollins is awful now and will improve but be nowhere near what you're giving up, because I don't like rios much either. Utley is the only legit bat, and you have phillips. I wouldn't put much stock either in the guys you have coming back smoltz is about 100 years old, and when people talk about how fragile a guy is, and he goes on a long dl in the first month of the season... temper your expectations about him, I say stand pat

I would do the deal only if you can get Utley. You'd be getting ripped off if you traded Sizemore/Gallardo for Rollins/Rios/
