The White Sox offense has been really anemic that even if Alexei does hit he wouldn't put up real big numbers.
I personally would not drop Magglio, he should eventually come around but if you have to Id go with Hawpe. He plays at Coors and has been real consistent this year.
I like Lind and Werth too but I'm not real high on either. If you need the steals add Werth if not go Hawpe.
In my opinion, I would get Lind and Bartlett, if possible. I think if they continue to stay hot, position scarcity puts you in position to deal again. And by getting both, even if only one pans out, you'll have a top-tier MI, which is a commodity. If you have to pick one over the other, I'd take Bartlett, because of the steals.
No keeper league. My other OF: Granderson, Hamilton, Pence, Cruz, Adam Jones. I play 4 of these guys every week, so I've never used Magglio, and I won't unless someone gets hurt. I still won't feel great about using him then, as he seems to be on the way out.
I've thought of dropping Alexei. It's only an 8 team league, but I drafted him high, so I hate to cut him loose just yet. I'm tired of being patient though...
I think you have to drop Alexei. Magglio has way more value. Maybe you can trade him at some point. He was traded in my league, so somebody wanted him. Maybe in your league as well.
Alexei got dropped in our 8-team league about three weeks ago... and he's still a FA. I find that in a smaller league, the teams are so strong that you can't afford to have someone like a struggling Alexei wasting a roster spot. (Ortiz got dumped more than a week ago. He's still a FA too.)
I'd drop Alexei for Bartlett. I wouldn't give up on Maggs just yet.
I've tried my best to trade Maggs. I've packaged him with Cano, Alexei, and Valverde to try different trades. No one will accept. I dropped Alexei in my 6 team league. I knew he wouldn't be picked up with such few teams. I guess an 8 teamer is no different.
