Is Carpenter worth activating this week?

Postby Meddler » Mon May 18, 2009 2:46 pm

I, like many I'm sure, grabbed him off the WW. My league has no innings limit, and I'm using my last roster spot to currently do a round of spot starters leading into Carpenter coming off the DL (Ross Ohlendorf today @ WSN and Chris Young tomorrow vs. SF). But I also have multiple DL spots, and Carpenter will be limited to 75-80 pitches this week against the Cubs and hasn't even had a rehab assignment. Should I just go through another 5 days of spot starts and save activating Carpenter right away? Or is it worth it to throw him right back into the Fantasy Fire?

Why is it some people are too lazy to scroll down half a page to find the topic where this is already being discussed?

No I actually saw it, but that wasn't so much a discussion as it was a few random sentences on page 5 of another thread, and I felt it was worth starting some, you know, actual discussion about. Apologies if it offends your delicate sensibilities.

Random sentences? Really? You don't think talk about pitch counts, innings potential, K potential and likelyhood of getting a win has anything to do with the question you asked? Are you kidding me? The discussion seems pretty on target for what you're asking about. If not then what more are you looking for, because that pretty much covers the important stuff?

I guess, maybe I just skipped those specific posts because of my hatred of reading things with awful grammar. I sincerely do apologize, and I'll delete the thread if you'd prefer, but really my point was, unless someone's trolling or intentionally using poor interwebz etiquette, there's no need for the snarkiness. I'm a reasonable dude, you don't have to be passive aggressive with me, because if you do that, we're just liable to start arguing about things we don't really disagree about.
