#1 waiver on Lackey?

Postby jaykay123 » Mon May 18, 2009 1:27 am

I'm on the fence about this. I think my pitching needs help, but would rather hold on to my #1 waiver. What do you think? Standard 12 team roto. Here's my team:

Pablo Sandoval
Carlos Peña
Chone Figgins
Evan Longoria
Derek Jeter
Alfonso Soriano
Ichiro Suzuki
Brad Hawpe
Prince Fielder
Kelly Johnson
Stephen Drew
Ryan Ludwick

Roy Oswalt
Wandy Rodríguez
Troy Percival
Kevin Gregg
Scott Kazmir
Justin Verlander
Joel Hanrahan
Gil Meche
B.J. Ryan
Chris Carpenter

I would drop Kelly.

Do it. You are not likely to see a better SP become available.

I agree there are not too many players of Lackey's caliber dropped so I definitely would make this move. ;-D

Absolutely do it.... I dont know why hed drop lackey in a 12 team anyways!! haha... bonus for you!... Hell if nolasco was dropped id probably not use a #1 but id use a 4 or 5.... Your not going to see many #1s like lackey sitting around!

I agree with the others - who's gonna be more worth a #1 WW than Lackey?

Do it, although Im not sure I agree that you need much more pitching depth, what youve got should be able to carry you through the season. I just dont see Kelly as doing you much good so you might as well. Youre not likely to see another player of this caliber available off the WW.
