HUGE BLOCKBUSTER (PLEASE HELP) whir!!!

Postby dukefan » Mon May 18, 2009 12:54 am

I receive:
Jose Reyes
Carlos Pena
Rich Harden

He Receives:
Justin Morneau
Jason Bartlett
Gil Meche
Joba Chamberlin

My roster:
c- Inge
1b- Morneau
2b- Callaspo
3b- chipper
ss- bartlett
of- soriano
of- holliday
of- braun
util- pierre
bench: perhalta/palonco

staff:
johan santana
jake peavy
cliff lee
gil meche
scott kazmir
joba chamberlin
andy pettite

Here's my thoughts: I obviously lose when it comes to first baseman because morneau is alot better than pena in my eyes. I obviously win big in the reyes for bartlett swap, even thought bartlett is playing better than reyes, i feel bartlett won't keep it up. My staff after santana, peavy, and cliff lee is garbage. With the addition of Rich Harden he will be a great 4th starter for me. Joba's performing well but gil meche is just sucking.

Please tell me your guys' thoughts on the trade, thanks.

Well, you look okay with speed, especially if holliday starts running again. As such, you lose a lot of the value that reyes presents. That said, i still like the trade because (1) you come out w/ the best player and (2) you free up space depending on who's on the ww. (how's your rp situation? added a cheap closer's always useful)

Definite yes. Pena is playing at Morneau's level, and Bartlett's playing at Reyes' level. That said, Pena can keep this up a lot better than Bartlett. And Harden's a really good SP. I think you get the #1, 3, and 4 players in the deal, so definite yes.

Yes you take this. You are giving up 2 great Sp and getting a super one who could go down any day but I would take the chance.

Good job with a nice upgrade trade ;-D
