Drop Baker or Nolasco for Porcello in keeper? WHIR 100%

Postby Carnac » Sun May 17, 2009 9:44 pm

Can't believe I'm even considering this. Baker and Nolasco have been terrible so far. Baker had a good outing last week, but both are wearing thin.

Any input? Haven't seen Porcello pitch yet.

Do I make a move or stay put?

Will answer yours.

I have Porcello but Baker and Nolasco are 2 pretty decent starters. I wouldn't yet.

True, Baker and Nolasco have been pretty poor, but Porcello is still for the most part untested. We're, what, a fifth of the way through the season? No, don't go abandoning Baker and Nolasco just yet. That's not to say, though, that you shouldn't keep a close eye on Porcello; the kid undoubtedly has what it takes to be great some day soon.

I'd sit tight for a while too. It's a classic early season mistake waiting to happen. There's got to be someone else you can drop...?

thanks for your help on mine.

Keep Nolasco. Porcello has way better stuff then Baker.

I'd drop Baker. Everything I've heard is Porcello is a stud, and although he's not striking guys out yet, he will be a strikeout guy in the future. Baker will probably end up having a good year, but Porcello is worth the risk. Baker's upside is 2008, Porcello is higher.
