TRADE: Ortiz for J Dye

Postby boyogold » Sun May 17, 2009 2:40 pm

I feel like I want to pull the trigger on this. I give Ortiz and get Dye. It seems to be generally believed that Ortiz is going downhill and Dye seems to have slightly a bit more upside. I'm hovering at 2 and 3 and something's got to give

I would go ahead and do it. There are certainly FA prospects that have compiled better stats then ortiz has over the last 12 months.

little help

Do it fast, before the offer is withdrawn!

Ortiz is an unwanted FA in one of my leagues ...

Ortiz is washed up. Take the trade ASAP.

Dye has already hit more homeruns then Ortiz will the rest of the year. I don't care how much rest he gets . That 38 year old is just about finished.

thanks all...I kind of felt the way you all do about it and have been trying to get something for Ortiz for awhile now. The guy who offered this trade to me is a pretty veteran manager so I thought (and still think somewhere deep down) that he knows something I don't, but I guess everybody makes mistakes. I don't think Ortiz has anything left in him personally.
