Can my perfect team get better? WHIR!

Postby Zain1two3 » Sun May 17, 2009 2:35 pm

So far in a 12 team H2H I'm 5-0 (and after this Sunday's games, I should become 6-0). I am not sure how long my team can keep overperforming. What moves should I make? Here is my team.

C Kurt Suzuki (C/U, OAK)
1B Justin Morneau (1B/U, MIN)
2B Aaron Hill (2B/U, TOR)
3B David Wright (3B/U, NYM)
SS Marco Scutaro (2B/3B/SS/U, TOR)
OF Josh Hamilton (OF/U, TEX)
OF Vernon Wells (OF/U, TOR)
OF Jayson Werth (OF/U, PHI)
U Jorge Cantu (1B/3B/U, FLA)

P Boston Red Sox (P, BOS
Bench
Bn Hideki Matsui (OF/U, NYY)
Bn Carlos Quentin (OF/U, CWS)
Bn Hank Blalock (1B/3B/U, TEX)
Bn Robinson Cano (2B/U, NYY)
Bn Manny Ramirez (OF/U, LAD)

Bn San Diego Padres (P, SD)
Injured Hitters
DL Travis Hafner (1B/U, CLE)

Is there a trade worth making out there?

Jays fan?

Scutaro isn't gonna keep this up. I believe his career high in HR's is 9? I'd shop around for a SS upgrade, using Werth/Wells/Cantu as your bait.

I agree, Scutaro is defintely not going to be able to sustain this pace. But who do I acquire? I don't have much outfield depth so I don't know how I can justify getting rid of an OF. What good shortstop can I acquire for say Cantu?

Thanks for the help with mine, let's just say I wish I had your problem.

I agree with the above poster that SS is probably your sketchiest Position, even though right now the numbers suggest otherwise.

I mean, it's Marco freakin Scutaro. I'd say if you can package him and Cantu for one of the "Elite" SS's in Hanley, Reyes or Rollins, that would be a pretty solid deal on your end.I would tend to lead towards Reyes since you look like you could use some speed.

Other than that I would say Catcher is definitely a weak spot. Suzuki is average at best. I'd hunt for Inge as he's on a downslope and coming back to earth so he should be more attainable. A guy that plays everyday and has C eligibility is pretty golden.

Your OF is hot right now but i'm really not sure about Wellsy. He's hard to trust with his injury riddled past. Try to get out from under guys like that and secure your future at the top with guys that are more dependable like the Carlos Lee's and Adam Dunn's of the world.

GOod luck
