Pick 3 OF, 1 SP

Postby MadDog36 » Sun May 17, 2009 9:48 am

Adam Jones - Injury Risk for Wk 7 - But has cake matchups all week (career wise great numbers)

BJ Upton (has these matchups and has struggled against several of these starters)

Bob Abreu - Also has tough matchups vs Bedard/Washburn this week and has yet to homer, is producing solid BA/runs/RBI/SB though. The rest of his matchups look good....Points wise he's been solid....

Nelson Cruz - Also has some tough matchups all week and been struggling...

Alex Rios - Some tough matchups but some GREAT matchups as well: Wakefield 3 homers, Richard/Penny/Lester all of whom he's handled. Closes with tough matchups against Lowe, Jurrjens and Medlin. As a Braves fan....that's going to be tough for him if they have their pitches getting late movement.

My other OF is locked in By the way I'm trying to decide on OF 2, 3, and UTL for this week.

FYI, I'm starting Medlen in one my RP slots to gain extra starts.

1 SP: Lackey vs. Bedard/Sea, Liriano vs. CWS (Sruggled against them, but their team is having trouble offensively, Kershaw vs. Ana (no career appearances)

ww 2 SP: Nolasco (Tb/Ari-Haren), Carpenter?, Wakefield, Baker, Zito, Palmer, Tallet, McCarthy)
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

Thanks for helping on mine....

I'd go with Upton, Abreu, and Rios because of the Jones injury and the Cruz slump.

I think that Lackey will be out to prove something after the two pitch disaster yesterday. It's probably a bit of a gamble, but I think that I would give him a shot.

abreu/rios/upton

jones hammy is tight, and Os called up Reimold so hav room to go without Jones if he cant go 100%...would be boom or bust, could play 3 games could play all week. if he plays today (sunday) id use him ahead of Rios. if we knew ur scoring, might help...but Uptons waking up and nows the time to play him

Lackey - should certainly be well rested after throwing 2 pitches his last start....haha

thx for help on mine

Thx for the help man

Firstly, I would start Upton this week no matter who he faces.

The other 2 OF I like very easily are Rios and Abreu, with no doubt.

Liriano is my SP choice until I see Lackey throw a good game.
