Wow, That throw from Span ranks up there as one of the worst I've ever seen.
I've never played organized baseball, and I could have thrown the ball from that distance better.

+1. Wonder if Mauer astutely pump-faked to first to lure Gardner down the line ... or was thinking (dumbly) he'd try a throw to first until realizing he couldn't get the runner.
