OK, TEAM in Sig -- non-keeper standard 12 team roto
A couple of quick points:
1) I've been throwing out 2 for 1 trade requests like it's been going out of style since John Lackey is coming off the DL (not a great way to start after getting ejected after 2 pitches, but I digress...) -- the point is I gotta drop someone.
2) My team is pretty solid and I've been trying to shore up my weaker spots. 3B (along with RP) have been weakspots for me all year. I am leading my league by 14 points and have been no. 1 since the start of the season.
I managed to pick up McCann after some idiot dropped him and I moved Pablo Sandoval to 3B -- who has been finding his stroke lately. I also traded J. Votto for Manny and have stashed Manny in a bench spot.
If I go ahead with the proposed trade: My OF would consist of: Carlos Lee (1), Raul Ibanez (2), J. Upton / Vladdy (3) -- until Manny comes back in which case he would move to the no. 2 spot. After a hot start, Either (without Manny) has definitely cooled off -- and frankly, has been riding the bench for me for the last week -- I've been starting J. Upton at the 3 spot -- and if I had to choose between those two over the next 30 games or so, its a toss-up.
So am I giving up too much? No one else seems to want to trade with me and I have sent out trade offers to everyone (and this is the only one that has come back). Once I get Zimmerman at 3rd, I feel like I am totally set for the season and barring any major injuries that I can ride this team out to the end of the season.... Thoughts peeps?
McCann at (C), C. Pena at (1B), Utley (2B), Reyes (SS), Zimm (3B) -- already broke down OF -- UTIL/DH would go to A. Hill.
At any rate, any insight would be great.
