His Howard for my A-Gon, BJ Upton

I had this offer proposed to me - A-Gon and BJ have had a ridiculous week, but I think Howard might still be better in the long run. I have the depth and necessary steals to lose Upton; he's probably not going to help me in average or hits too much. Should I ask for more or take this?

Also I should point out that I've been leading every offensive category except RBI... I also have Pierre, Soriano, Furcal, Hart, Justin Upton, and Asdrubel Cabrera who get me steals.

Without seeing your entire roster, I would say yes, do this deal. But ask for something else, maybe a decent SP or a closer.

I wouldn't do it. If we drafted today A-Gon would be a 2nd round pick. Upton's struggled, but you can't give up on him. Ride it out.

I think that's too much for Howard. Hold onto Upton. You don't want to regret dealing him away and miss what's coming with him when you've suffered through these first five weeks or so with him. With Howard you know what you're getting, but I don't think he's that much of a significant upgrade at first for you.
