thats a pretty sick offense, but hows your pitching? In a ten team league, thats a top-notch offense, but you're worth nothing without pitching.

well, since OPS counts, I'm more than happy to have my pitching be a little below average, so that I can an offense as sick as that.

Right, but often a smart Commish will include another pitching category, such as K/BB or something, to counterbalance the inclusion of OPS, thus making it a 6x6 league.

Let me just say that if you don't have a single top ten or top fifteen pitcher, then you're not going to do as great as you think. You'll be in the middle of your league standings at best.

Remember (and I'm assuming roto here) -- it makes no difference if you have the most home runs by five or by fifty, you still get the same number of points. And a bunch of 8-10 points in hitting categories and 1-3 points in pitching leads to, well, an average team.

If you are sans decent pitching, then congratulations, you ARE the Texas Rangers.

how did you get vlad and a rod?

i had first pick and took arod, i traded bonds and maddux for vlad, i was willing to give up maddux because i could fill his hole
