here is what's gonna happen.

he will have DECENT FIRST GAME.

He will get eventually get bombed.

he will get moved to the pen.

he will get sent down.

Charlie Morton gets called up.

He gets bombed.

he gets sent down.

HaNSEN (the real prospect) gets called up and stays.

I think Hanson gets the call next after he passes the super 2 date. I agree with your Medlen time line though.

There is no exact date, it's based on the number of other prospects that are called up.

The top 17 percent of players with at least 2 but less than 3 years of Major League service. These are known as “Super 2” players. To qualify as a Super 2, a player must have accumulated at least 86 days of service in the previous year. Historically, the cutoff point for Super 2 status is 2 years, 128 days of service, though the requirement has been as high as 2 years, 140 days in years past.

medlen was just added to the yahoo database this morning. anyone think he will have any type of success in the rotation or is he destined for the bullpen, maybe future closer? has had a great year in AAA, but that doesn't always translate into major league success obviously.

so hes not going to be successful at all?

I just picked him up in espn- i have a keeper league

I picked Medlen up and dropped Cahill on the A's

is medlen a better bet than Cahill?

I read somewhere saying that that Cahill was dubbed the next Brandon Webb

I'd take Cahill over Medlen 10 times out of 10

The potential is there if it wasn't he wouldn't have been drafted. But as far as pitching prospects go he isn't on Cahills level. Another thing that puts me off is that I think Medlen will have a shorter leash then Reyes did(I'd say 2 bad starts and he is in the pen or AAA).
