greinke for hamilton or gallardo for c lee?

Postby dubstar » Fri May 15, 2009 2:25 pm

do i need to do this deal? i think i could use the extra push in my OF with manny being out. we will be keeping 3, so i would probably be keeping greinke if i dont trade him.

also, another friend has carlos lee and has expressed interest in gallardo. would that be a better deal to make?

Value wise that's a great deal and it'd be a nice sell high of Greinke but it'd probably make your team worse off overall.

Your OF, and offense overall, is still very solid even without Manny. However, in a ten team leauge I'd be concerned about your pitching staff without Greinke. You have to worry about how Webb is going to come back and you need to be prepared for Rodriguez and Zito to regress a bit.

I would pass unless you're able to add a few players to the deal and get a quality SP back from him along with Hamilton.

I think it is too good of a value to pass up.

You'll have Webb back in not that long so your SP will be about the same in July than it was yesterday.

yea im not too sure about that. i think overall greinke will be better than webb. manny will be back in july also, so would it be the same to just keep it like it is?

does the keeper aspect have any effect over it?

In a 10 teamer with 3 keepers, I seriously doubt Greinke is worth keeping (although not knowing your keeper rules).

I make this trade based on value alone, knowing I'll trade one of my OF later.

I think you stick it out til Manny comes back. Let Drew get a good week under his belt and then maybe you can move either him or Young.
