How are you handling ...

This is a question for those of you with true minor league rosters and drafts.

CBS just made Strasburg available in their Free agent pool. In my keeper we have put a freeze on all draft pick until the following year's minor league draft, but if he comes up immediately I can anticipate some complaints. Anyone doing anything special in this case, or are you just keeping this years picks reserved.

our league is sticking to not allowing them to be picked...and has specifically stated that in his case even if he does come up he cant be picked.

its a contract/salary we wait until next year's auction to see how much he goes for

and having him come up thsi year and giving us all a taste of what he's like would be pretty sweet

We didn't think of a solution in our league until after the fact, meaning he was already claimed. The rule we have going forward will be that players are ineligible as keepers in the year they are drafted. That way if somebody wanted to pick up a player such as Strasburg for the rest of the season on the chance that he may contribute that's fine, but since he can't be kept it would force him back into the auction for next season so everyone has a chance at him not just whoever has the highest waiver priority/draft pick.

I was very disappointed in CBS for adding an amatuer player, or at least the little amount of warning they gave!
