Trade AGon + for Pedroia?

Postby Seatownfavorite » Fri May 15, 2009 4:10 am

10 Team dynasty ROTO league

My plan is to offer AGon and Figgins for Pedroia. My thinking is I have 1st and SS locked up and need to solidify my other IF positions. I need to improve my AVE, K rate, and Asst. Is this a good trade for me?

C: Soto
1st: Pujols
2nd: Figgins
SS: Hanley
3rd: C. Davis
IF: AGon
LF: Bay
CF: Hamilton
RF: Pence
UTIL: Ibanez
BN: Bruce, Atkins, I. Stewart, N. Cruz, Kendrick, Maybin

This would leave Davis, Atkins, Stewart, and Kendrick battling for 2 spots. Am I better off with AGon at the IF and these same guys battling for 2nd and 3rd?

Man I'd hate to give up on a guy that if he get's traded or hits FA could be a top 5 overall player if not better (pujols like numbers) just a thought.

no way i give up A Gonzalez for any 2B except utley. if/when he gets traded to ANY other team and any other park in the majors, he will be a top 10 fbb player.

not just a thought... someone read adrian gonzalez' current yahoo tag:

"Recommendation: Gonzalez is off to a huge start to the year; if he ever gets out of Petco or acquires a decent supporting cast, he could post Pujols-like numbers."

and no, i wouldn't trade the league leader in homers while he is dominating, unless you are getting a top pick in return.

Pedroia is a bit overrated. He has very lucky in the power department last year. He did not have a single homer longer than 400 feet.

He's more of a 5-10 HR guy than a 20 homer guy. I'd hold onto AGonz. it's not like Figgins is hurting you.

You need his speed anyway.

His team has Pedrioa, Weeks, Asdrubal, and Callaspo who play second. I am interested in either Dustin or Asdrubal. Is there a better offer I could throw his way to get either of these guys? Both our pitching is stacked so I really don't want to give him any advantage there to make it work.

His Hitters:
C: Mauer
1st: Berkman
2nd:Pedroia
SS: Asdrubal Cabrera
3rd: Branyan
IF: Bartlet
LF: Braun
CF: Victorino
RF: FDome
UTIL: Weeks
BN: Adam jones, Inge, Ethier, Hart, Callaspo
DL: Ludwick Aramis

My other option is to drop Maybin (who I wouldn't need even if he was hitting well) and pick up Coghlan.
