Bedard expected to miss next start

News: Mariners left-hander Erik Bedard will likely miss his next scheduled start Saturday night in Boston. Seattle manager Don Wakamatsu said Thursday that Bedard is a probable scratch because of a tight right hamstring. Wakamatsu said he should be able to make a decision Friday. Bedard threw a season-high 110 pitches in a season-low 4 2/3 innings Sunday at Minnesota. He is 2-1 with a 2.53 ERA. Wakamatsu said the Mariners would likely fill his spot in the rotation from the current staff. Left-hander Garrett Olson, who has a 2.57 ERA, is among the possibilities.
Analysis: Bedard has been a decent comeback player this season, but you will have to consider him a risk for Fantasy Week 7 (May 18-24) at this point. Track his progress through the weekend before making a roster decision on him. The Mariners likely will make your decision for you. If he needs to miss another start after Saturday, it would probably mean a DL stint.

Bedard hasn't shown any ill effects from the hamstring cramp he experienced in his last start, and is on track to start Friday against the Red Sox, the Seattle Times reports.

Obviously you're someone not familiar with Bedard's history. Even if he only misses one start, and with Bedard that's a BIG if, this sort of thing usually leads to more problems ahead.

i'm very familiar with his history but it doesn't seem to be serious...just cautionary. and this injury doesn't seem to be related to his previous ones.

Yeah I'm with DJ on this one. Nip this in the bud now. I realize he's been injury prone, but this isn't arm related, and the fact that he's still not ruled out for Saturday, leads me to believe that it shouldn't be a longterm thing.

According to yahoo, he's not going to make the start. This stinks, cuz now I'm going to lose k's for sure this week. But it looks like he'll be good to go next week.
