My starters are Jake Peavy, Josh Johnson, Scott Kazmir, Joba Chamberlain, and A.J. Burnett. i just added Ubaldo Jimenez since he has looked decent as of late. my question is: is this squad good enough to stick with or to i need to move one of my OF to bring in a stud? My outfield includes: Grady Sizemore, Alfonzo Soriano, Jacoby Ellsbury, Shane Victorino, Hunter Pence, and as of the Manny scandal, Juan Pierre. frankly, i love my OF. i normally have to bench either Vic or Pence, whichever has the worse matchup or is doing poorly that week. when/if a healthy Pronk returns to the lineup, i'll need to make another spot but Juan has an expiration date of July 4. Do i stick with my bats and hope my arms come around or do i need to make an offer for a stud with my Grady/Alfonzo? thank you and here is my team: Ca. B. Molina 1B. R. Howard 2B. R. Weeks 3B. D. Wright SS. J. Peralta MI. A. Ramirez CI. B. Butler LF. J. Pierre CF. G. Sizemore RF. J. Ellsbury OF. H. Pence Ut. A. Soriano BN. S. Victorino DL. T. Hafner DL. R. Doumit DL. T. Glaus SP. J. Peavy SP. J. Chamberlain SP. J. Johnson SP. S. Kazmir RP. K. Wood RP. R. Betancourt RP. T. Hoffman P. J. Motte P. D. Weathers P. A. Rhodes BN. A. Burnett Bn. U. Jimenez BN. K. Wells my team does count holds.. thus all the holders. thank again.
I really don't think your SP's are that bad. You could use one more solid arm though. I wouldn't deal Sizemore or Soriano for an arm unless you're getting Johan or Lincecum. I'd shop around Pence, who's hitting well right now, for a good mid-level arm since you have great OF depth.
I agree, your pitchers aren't bad at all. Jimenez is your 6th pitcher and I loved him in the preseason. I would sit tight, or like Twistdude said, try and move someone like Pence. Kazmir's been roughed up some, as has Burnett, but I really like your pitchers.
