Hunter/O Cabrera/Drew Bailey for Webb/Lidge/Renteria? WHIR

Postby Sportsmonkey » Wed May 13, 2009 4:02 pm

12 team mixed 5x5 roto non-keeper.

I'm in 4th place, but my OF is deep with Quentin (blah), Soriano, Braun, Torii Hunter and a bunch of later pickups like Fowler/Choo/Snider/Laporta.

I sent out a message looking to move an OF for an SP or closer and got this offer back.

Is it too good to pass up? I could drop Gordon to free up a DL spot for a month. Or I could swap Webb for Volstad.

Thanks!

Team:

SP - Billingsly, Joba, Kershaw, Myers
RP - Mariano, Valverde, Bailey
C - V-Mart
1B - Berkman
2B - J Lopez
SS - O Cab
3B - Lowell
CI - Delgado/Blake
MI - Castillo
OF - Braun, Soriano, Quentin, Hunter, Choo
DH - Laporta/Snider

I'd say do it in hopes that Webb's arm returns to normal when he gets back, which could be a while. I like the other parts of the deal for ya too. I'd pull the trigger and pray.

You could definitely use Webb, but he's still out for awhile longer and who knows if he will be the same. I'd try maybe going for a different SP, but if you can't do another deal then I'd say do this deal.

Would you rather have Volstad for 5 months or Webb for 4 months with a little more risk? The deal doesn't look as good if its Volstad.

I think that if Webb is healthy enough to pitch, he'll be his old dominant self.

I'd rather have Webb, I think Volstad has gotten very lucky so far.

I pulled the trigger. Just too much potential to pass up.
