With the 32nd pick of the 2009 Draft
The Colorado Rockies select: Brett Jackson
6'2", 210 lbs, Bats: L. 20 y.o. University of California.
With a college arm already taken at the 11 slot, the Rockies will follow their course of sticking to college bats. They need outfielders, and Brett Jackson is the best one on the board at this time. He's a big fella with average power, average speed, and a plus arm. He strikes out a little too often, but he has the power and skills to develop into a number 3 type hitter. I think they would consider Kentrail Davis here, but his bonus demands will not allow him to hit in the thin air.
In my fridge: Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS), Central Waters Peruvian Morning, Bell's Batch 10,000, Dale's Pale Ale, Capital Brewery Amber, New Glarus Moon Man, and Guinness.
