Which OF to choose? ALL HELP RETURNED GUARANTEED

Postby kaiser » Wed May 13, 2009 10:21 am

I'm pretty certain I want to replace Jeff Francouer as my #5 OF. Any advice on which of the following from the wire could be a good replacement?

10 team H2H mixed keeper, standard ESPN cats.

Michael Bourn
JD Drew
Delmon Young
Carlos Gomez
Eric Byrnes
Andru Jones
Luke Scott
Michael Cudyer
Randy Winn

Any specific category you're looking to bolster? There are two very different classes of hitters you've posted. In general, I'd probably roll with Drew.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm okay in the power and rbi departments. Primarily, I want to find a few more runs and cut down on K's.

Then I'd say Winn is probably your guy. His R are decent considering that he bats 5th in that lineup, but he'll likely have the best K rate of any you listed and will probably end with a BA much closer to .290-.300.

I agree, I think Winn is the best bet to help in the run cat.

Hate to run with the crowd but I was thinking Winn all the way. San Fran is starting to score a little and Winn is a bigtime igniter for that young team. He should hold a nice average with decent speed and if Molina and Sandoval keep hitting he should score a nice amount of runs....

Winn is the best choice of those listed. San fran's hitting is greatly improved and Winn is in the middle of that lineup.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but Rs and fewer Ks, Winn is really your only option out of the bunch.
