Claim Gavin Floyd off waivers? WHIR 100%

Postby Neboguy » Wed May 13, 2009 10:13 am

The last place team just dropped Gavin Floyd for Josh Willingham . . . I've got Rich Hill coming back Saturday. Currently 12 out 13 for waiver priority, so that's not a factor. Should I claim Floyd and who should I drop?

Unsure of your scoring system 5x5, Points, etc.
If points league you could pick him up and drop a reliever pretty easily (Cruz)
if its a category league then I would not touch floyd. His peripherals have never been good even last year he was hittable. I think he caught some breaks and alot of teams (keepers) were looking to deal him due to the fact that he may revert to what we see now. Your whip will take a major hit in a cat league. If it was a points and you get points for quality starts, good amount of points for wins, etc then i would take the chance on floyd.
Floyd is not as good as the numbers he put up last year.

Just my opinion.

thanks for your help on mine.

No. I just dropped his this week and it was probably a week too late. Do yourself a favor and save the headache. ;-D
