standard yahoo h2h 5x5 his brad lidge for my john danks. am i missing something here, cuz this sounds really good.
team: hitting i am weaker in 3b, lacking in of depth. SP i am loaded with midtier players c: vmart 1. youkilis 2. kinsler 3. figgins ss: alexei ramierz of: quentin, ludwick, dunnn util: utley BENCH: inge (added in for favorable matchups or injuries or no shows since he's C, 3b, OF) SP: Hamels, Harden, Lester, Danks, Bedard, Joba, Lohse, Ervin(DL) RP: Bell, frank francisco, ryan franklin, jose valverde
standard league so start 2sp, 2rp, 3p so if i do this i'd start my 5 RP all the time and rotate in the SP.
john danks msg on yahoo: "Danks had a career-high 10 strikeouts and allowed one run on four hits with one walk in six innings of the White Sox's 3-2 win over Texas on Saturday. Advice: Danks had struggled in his previous two starts, so it was nice to see him get back on track. The spike in strikeouts was simply an added bonus. (STATS, Inc.)"
i wouldn't say its a no brainer... but value wise I think you come out on top... plus you said yourself that you had a ton of mid level SPs, so why not deal one to upgrade your RPs??? Danks has a lot of potential, but considering your depth at SP i would make the deal. good luck
I wouldn't say its a no-brainer, Lidge hasn't looked that good this year for one, two you have 3 decent closers.Three with Hamels and Hardin being injury risks to trade a good SP for a closer wouldn't make sense to me.
Not a no-brainer. I wouldnt do it. You've got 3 very good options at RP and you could easily lose 3 of your SP's to injury. No reason to upgrade RP at this time and tempt the fates with a staff of Harden ,Hamel, and Santana (DL)
