Depends entirely on bench depth, league size and stat cats. In a standard 5x5 that's 12 teams or fewer I'd cut bait probably unless the bench is deep. In my 12 team league that's literally about a 14x14 and includes a ton of stats that Big Papi could be useful in even if his power doesn't return, he's gonna get a little bit of a leash on my bench, but that leash is shrinking every day. Your best bet would probably be to post a question in the draft trade keeper forum. If you post WHIR (and respond to people's posts) you'll likely get some thoughts. Welcome to the Cafe!

BTW, :-t :-t :-t to people who do that.

Why did someone in your league?

Nope.

i heard the Yankees were going to re-bury his jersey

That was funny!

He really looks bad out there. I honestly wonder if he was taking steroids, and has now smartened up, and realized that its just too chancy a thing to do in this day and age. I hope that doesn't end up being the case. That would really hurt to find out Big Papi was taking steroids... but these days, you never know who will be the next one caught.

This was great. I will never get tired of Jamie Moyer jokes.

"His fastball was clocked at eleven Mississippi" = gold.

Ugh he's been awful, but I can't drop him... my team has Ortiz, Manny and BJ Upton, guess what place I'm in.

Here is what I do not get. If you play really well when you get older you are on steroids because that is not possible. However, now if you decline as you get older you are on steroids because your numbers are dropping. Its a double edged sword that basically lets you accuse any player you want. Does not mean it could not turn out to be true but does mean its an exercise in futility AKA a David Ortiz at bat.
