Sizemore for Santana whir

Postby bats2584 » Tue May 12, 2009 4:12 pm

I'm getting killed in pitching!!! I added Hanson for some mid season help but since I already have Price I need some help now. So far he is pretty weak in R, HR, RBI and I'm weak in W, ERA, K....What do you guys think? I hate to give up Sizemore but I have A LOT of OFs or should I go after Billingsley for Bruce but would he bite on that one?

I would almost never say to trade Sizemore for a pitcher, but YOU should do it. :-( Hopefully Hanson and Price will bring you some quality when they come up.

No way he'd do Billingsley for Bruce, I wouldn't think. Maybe try, but I doubt it'll work. You could also try Jones (if it's Adam) or Werth, or Ichiro for Billingsley. If that doesn't work, you could toss in Hughes or Baker with one of those OFs for Billingsley. I'd hat to trade Sizemore, but do it if there are no other options.

And to those saying Sizemore has done nothing: Please note that even with this horrid slump, he's top-20 in HRs, SBs, and RBI.

Depending on how he values Sizemore, you might even have some excess value here. If you can get a second minor upgrade in addition to Santana, that would be nice. Maybe one of his closers, since he looks stacked.

Based on your pitching you have to do this trade. I agree with the post before me that you should try to see you could get another lower tier ptichet in return with Santana!

Thanks for the help with mine! Sorry for the delay!

yeah definitely do this... justin upton will make you forget about grady sizemore, as he's been showcasing why he's the first pick in the draft. i've been fortunate to end up with him in 3/4 leagues with the autopick draft, and in the 4th i'm offering nelson cruz and cole hamels for j-upton and wandy rodriguez... we'll see how it goes.

let me know what you think of my quandary --- viewtopic.php?t=384672

In your case it looks like the best option to trade him and up your pitching especially with a stud like johan.
