Trade Grady?...or am I a "Big Dummy?"

Postby jmcampbe11 » Tue May 12, 2009 2:40 pm

10 team roto league (we keep 3 players each season) and I'm trying to improve in batting average. The other owner needs stolen bases and saves. Think he'll bite on this offer? Am I getting solid value in return?

GIVE---------------------------GET
Sizemore----------------------Utley
Percival------------------------Cantu (would replace Reynolds in my lineup)
Alx Ramirez (or Phillips)-----Lind

MY TEAM FOR CONTEXT...
C-Martin 1b-Gonzalez 2b-Phillips ss-Alx.Ramirez 3b-Longoria MI-J.Lopez CI-Reynolds UTIL-Crisp
OF-Sizemore, Hamilton, Dye, V.Wells, Ad.Jones
SP-Greinke, Gallardo, Lilly, Nolasco, R.Johnson, *Smoltz, *Carpenter
RP-Broxton, Qualls, Morrow, Percival, Ray

Other than the "who plays SS" question, you certainly get the upper hand on this one...with no positions in play, you get the FAR better side of the deal. FAR. Do it for sure.

Agreed. You'll have to drop someone to pick up a SS, but it's worth it...

Definitely do it. Do Alexei, not Phillips, then trade Phillips for a SS like Michael Young or Stephen Drew, if possible.

Good point. I completed missed the SS dilemma. What if included Phillips as opposed to Alx.Ramirez? Still worth making? Again, I'm not trying to rip the other owner off so let me know if the offer is too lopsided (even with Phillips).

Anyone else? Is this a fair offer if I include Phillips?
