Lost Aram... Huff, Atkins or Martin for 3b... WHIR

Postby TheBambino » Mon May 11, 2009 6:14 pm

Ive been offered

Rios and Huff/Atkins/Martin
for
Pence and Adam Jones

I have OF depth and can deal these 2 keepers (its a 6 player keeper) but which 3b do I take? I think hes leaning towards Huff or Atkins.

I would do it, Rios is better then Pence and Martin will fit nice in your lineup. I like Atkins with a slight edge over Huff but not that much more.

Thanks for the help on mine

In a keeper league I would probably lean towards Atkins

Huffs numbers last year were sooo good!!! Im not sure which to choose???? Its down to Huff or Atkins... I think Martin is out. And I dont expect to be keeping this player.... I already have my 6

Morneau
ARam
Sizemore
Holliday
Rios (If this trade goes through)
Haren

What do you guys think?

I am in the exact same position, losing ARam. Thankfully, I have Huff as my 1B/3B insurance, and he's done very nicely for me, both this year and last.

I also have A. Jones. I believe he's really breaking out this year, and I'd think very long before giving him up. Are there any stopgap 3B in FA to bide your time til ARam comes back? I even have Scuturo, and he's doing very well for me this year, and he has 3B eligibility, along with SS and 2B.

If it were my team, I'd try to find another way. Pence, I'd let go (I had him last year), but I believe Jones will be top 10 OF for years to come.

Help with mine?

thanks for the help with mine.

It's a tough call between huff and Atkins. Huff is probably the safer bet, and he has had a decent year so far. Atkins is off to a slow start, but his potential upside is probably higher than Huff's...and he hight even be a keeper for you by the end of the year....but he also has more risk of being a bust. Since you will likely get A-Ram back in July, I would go with Huff, the current hot hand, but it depends on how much you want to gamble

So Im hearing get huff for this year and keep aram for next and whatever he can salvage this year..... What about the jones and rios part? Rios is such a good hitter especially in that lineup.... he has to be better than jones when hitting at 100%.... what does everyone think?

Rios and Huff
for
Jones and pence
