I think that it all depends on how much you "chase wins", and how much you believe in Big Erv.

If you look at Scherzer's career K/9, ERA, and WHIP, they are all favorable to Big Erv's numbers in his career year of 2008.

I think that Scherzer is the better pitcher. I think that Santana's team will probably get him more wins, but only by one or two. I also think that Santana's 2008 numbers were just a little bit fluky, and that he is more of a 13-win 3.95 ERA guy than the 16 win and 3.5 ERA guy that he was in '08.

I don't want to chase wins, but they are pretty important in our league. Scoring is 10 pts W, -5 pts L, 1 pt k and ip, -1 pt ER. Does this change anyone's opinion? I also have Galarraga, who just got rocked again last night.
