Fantasy Baseball Algebra (WHIR)

Postby KoopaTroopa211 » Mon May 11, 2009 2:35 pm

A few days ago, one of the owners in my league put Joakim Soria on the trading block. When I inquired about trading for him, the following response was received:

The Other Owner wrote:I am a little short on relievers so I am not sure about the trade unless you trade me one of your relievers also.

So, I'm thinking package deal here, trading either Lindstrom or Morrow. Here's the algebra part:

Lindstrom + Cust = Soria + X
Lindstrom + Wieters = Soria + X
Lindstrom + Rios = Soria + X

Please help me find the respective values of X on his roster so I can make an offer:

C - Joe Mauer, Yadier Molina
1B - Paul Konerko, Russell Branyan
2B - Orlando Hundon, Mark DeRosa
SS - Hanley Ramirez, Jason Bartlett
3B - Chipper Jones, Brandon Inge
OF - Torii Hunter, Jayson Werth, Adam Lind, Brad Hawpe, Justin Upton
Util - David Ortiz
SP - Chris Volstad, Max Scherzer, Kevin Millwood, Tim Lincecum, John Danks, Cliff Lee, Jake Peavy, Johan Santana, Chris Carpenter (DL)
RP - Brad Lidge, Joakim Soria, Trevor Hoffman

8 Team Weekly H2H (non-keeper)
Scoring Categories: R, RBI, HR, SB, AVG, OPS, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB

depends on what you need?

i would try for maybe lind or werth, more towards lind thou, cust and weiters will get you the lowest value outa all of them, so package rios and lindstrom for lind or if you need SP see if you can buy low on cliff lee
I guess there was no curse... Boston just sucked for 86 years...

Soria JUST hit the DL, so you gotta wait 2-3 weeks on him. I'd say leave it be for a week then re-evaluate.
