ARam for Huff......WHIR

Postby coleman1027 » Mon May 11, 2009 11:55 am

So Aram going down has put some hurting on me, The owner of Huff just proposed My Aram, DeRosa, and Hoffman for Huff and Jurrjens......

Seems like a great deaL for me.......Fixes 3B, gives me options at 1B, helps a bit with SP, and frees up a roster spot to play the wire for awhile.....
I've gotta do this quick, right?
Thoughts....WHIR

I'd accept the trade. Huff hasn't been slouching, and Jurrjens is a rosterable SP. You could probably replace a loss in saves with an interim closer on the FA.

Thanks for the help.

Yes do it! Huff and Aram are pretty close in value when healthy (similar stats) plus Huff has positional flexibility. (Dero) was a goo add. Pitchers being exchanged here are a wash. And a free spot to add something potentially real good.

Whats available?

Agreed. Especially because there's a good chance that Ramirez's injury could affect his power totals for the rest of the year after he's back.

Yeah, as a Cubs fan, I gotta say do it. It's a dislocated shoulder, and he's out over a month. Then, on top of that, he'll have a pretty serious power drop, IMO with that shoulder. Huff's solid, and Jurrjens has become a nice #3 or 4 fantasy SP. Hoffman's pretty uninteresting at this point, and DeRo's not playing like last year.

That's what I'm thinking.....I almost have to pull the trigger.....quickly before he changes his mind....

Whats available?

Lots of interesting options on the wire.....from Bruce, Branyan, Blalock.....but I'm thinking of streaming some SP based on matchups for a bit......I'm way behind in innings.....and W's....since my SP is so thin......

Thanks for the help with mine! I like this deal for you, Huff is a solid player and should put up numbers equal or better than last years stats. Aram has a serious injury so who knows how he will rebound when he comes back in 2 months.

I think the big question mark over ARam makes you have to do the deal. There is no telling how this injury will affect his power. I would take the deal and not look back.

Please help with mine
