First off this is the worst umpire ever. Second how did that a hit when Wright bounced it to first???

Already down 1-0? With the Mets impotent offense, you can just about write down Santana for a no decision at the very least. :-t

I'm not sure why the O.S. scored that a H. It would have been a close play but not that close. Should have got a home-cooking call there.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Terrible bullpen management by Manuel. I could see that unfolding before it happened.

Johan must be sleeping with his teammates girlfriends

Postby aaronharangatang » Mon May 11, 2009 9:18 pm

They absolutely hate this guy. His first unearned run was the result of a David Wright error(who also had an error Johans last time out.) Then he leaves the game with a runner on first and two outs and Reyes makes an error to keep the inning alive, and of course feleciano gets jacked and lets him in. Oh, and of course, only 1 run scored.

Had to kill the sound on ESPN. Terrible game by the Mets. They deserve to get killed a bit for this one but when they started talking about how the Yankees and Red Sox don't have bad games or make mistakes like this Mets teams, I couldn't bear it. Talk about exxageration. %-6

Yeah, the Mets may be third place on the ESPN lovefest but it's still 48% Red Sox, 48% Yankees, 2% Mets, 2% Manny Ramirez because he played for Boston.

i was thinking the same thing. a couple weeks ago dan haren argued with bob melvin for being taken out of the game b/c haren felt he was the best option to get the guy out. same here. i don't care how many pitches santana had thrown...he's always the best option to get the batter out, especially a righty.
