Halladay for Gallardo and Nolasco - WHIR

Postby plapre3 » Mon May 11, 2009 12:38 am

My Offense is really lopsided and I could use a lot of help in my rotation. However, I can't get anyone to deal pitching for hitting. Because of this situation, I've found myself considering this trade.

My Roy Halladay and Ryan Theriot for Yovanni Gallardo and Ricky Nolasco

The Sidd Finches:
C Bengie Molina
1B Adrian Gonzalez
2B Aaron Hill
SS Michael Young
3B Kevin Youkilis
OF Carlos Beltran
OF Corey Hart
OF Adam Dunn (1B Eligible)
UT Jayson Werth
Bench: Mike Napoli, Billy Butler, Mark DeRosa, Garret Atkins, Ryan Theriot, Orlando Cabrera, Johnny Damon, Colby Rasmus (still eligible for minors)

SP (Start 5) Roy Halladay, Chris Young, Kevin Slowey, Wandy Rodriguez, Paul Mahom
RP (Start 3) Joe Nathan, Joakim Soria, Heath Bell
Bench: Mark Buehrle

Minors: Neftali Feliz, Derek Holland, Michael Bowden, Chris Coghlan, and Matt LaPorta

6x6 weekly HtH 14 team roto keeper (between 5 and 10 keepers (no time limits or costs), losing a draft pick for each after 5)
Offensive Categories: BA, OPS, RBI, HR, SB and Runs Scored.
Pitching Categories: W, S, ERA, K/IP, Quality Starts minus Losses, and WHIP
Minors: 5 "free" keepers. These players if are eligible to be kept without the loss of a draft pick and in addition to the max of 10. They must have under 200 Ab or less than 75 IP and 20 APP.

Don't do this trade. It just doesn't make sense to shore up your pitching my trading your best pitcher for one comparable to him and another struggling one. If you start 5SP, Buehrle should bump the wildly inconsistent Chris Young, struggling Kevin Slowey, away-trouble Wandy, or K-less Maholm. Ideally, I'd like to feature Halladay, Buehrle, Chris Young, Slowey, and a flex between Slowey/Wandy/Maholm for your third option depending on 2-start status and level of opposition.

Help on mine? viewtopic.php?t=384303
