Pedroia left Sunday night's game in the fourth inning with what appeared to be a groin pull.

Recommendation: Pedroia grimaced after fouling off a pitch. He finished the at-bat, but then was replaced in the field the following inning.

Wonder how serious cause i set weekly lineups and wondering if i should just put tulo and SS and cabrera at 2B.

I have been through a similar situation in the past and everytime I own a player w/ an injury like this, I sit them for the week if I have a decent replacement.

I am thinking of starting Jerry Hairston Jr. (CIN) for Pedroia this week. Hariston is heating up and when he heats up, he is a 5 cat stud.

"2B Dustin Pedroia left Sunday night's win over the Rays after he strained his groin during a third inning at-bat against RHP Matt Garza. Pedroia grounded to short and came up lame while running down the first-base line, and SS Julio Lugo replaced him in the lineup after SS Nick Green shifted over to second base. Sox manager Terry Francona estimated that the reigning AL MVP might miss one game because of the injury, but should be ready to go on Wednesday. "You know if he comes out, he's hurt because he's a tough kid," said Francona. "He also thinks that he can play Tuesday. I don't think that I would do that because we're going to travel out there. But I bet he'll be in there Wednesday.""

They basically had this re-hashed about 3 diff. times/ways. So it doesn't sound to bad and should be back soon. Like most I need him back, I have him as my 2B in all three money leagues.

I will just have to make a decision later this evening before setting my lineup for the week. I still thing Jerry Hairston goes off this week, big time!

I have be studying pedroia's groin and it looks good. To tell you the truth after a LONG and HARD look at his groin I am sure he will have no problems.
