Sizemore Miggy Trade - Smart Move?

Postby jmcampbe11 » Sun May 10, 2009 8:18 pm

10 team roto league. This trade would leave me a little light in SBs, but I could always make another trade and it would improve my batting avg. Good move?

I GIVE- Sizemore/ V.Wells/ Greinke
I GET - M.Cabrera/ Markakis/ Halladay

This is a keeper league (we keep 3 players each season)

C-R.Martin 1b-A.Gonzalez 2b-Phillips ss-Alx.Ramirez 3b-Longoria OF-Sizemore, Hamilton, V.Wells, Dye, Adm. Jones
MI-J.Lopez CI-Reynolds (or LaPorta) U-Crisp

SP-Greinke, Gallardo, Lilly, Nolasco, R.Johnson, *Carpenter, *Smoltz
RP-Broxton, Qualls, Percival, Morrow, Ray

I'd do it. Miggy and Sizemore are a wash. Markakis is much better than Wells. Halladay and Greinke will be similar from here on out (I'd probably give the edge to Halladay due to his track record). Good luck.

I like this deal a lot for you, Wells hasn't been bad, but Markakis is an upgrade over him. M-Cab/Sizemore are even, and I actually like Halladay a little bit more than Greinke for the rest of the season (it's very close)

Would you guys do A.Gonzalez/Sizemore for Markakis/M.Cabrera? Again, I'm looking to improve in batting avg.

I would do either trade. You can get sb's later on via trade.

Miggy is a monster and will hit well above 200..Markakis is very solid..

Do either.

you will get better offensive numbers minus sb by getting miggy and markakis

Help me out

Go for it man, this trade definitely qualifies as a sell HIGH as the other owner is giving up way too much in order to get Greinke.

1 - MigCab is a much better player than Sizemore

Markakis is so much better than Wells...the kid is only 25 years old and this is a keeper. Wells health history must be noted here. Markakis will put up numbers this year that are close to equal to Wells best numbers which he produced in earlier years.

Greinke is younger than Halladay, but like said before I take Halladay's consistency way over Greinke's hype. Hit accept and never look back!
