Ok, recently I was able to snag Brad Hawpe in a deal for some WW fodder (Branyan and Pettitte). Over the last 2 seasons Hawpe has been at the same level of production as Vernon Wells, yet is constantly underrated. I grabbed Justin Upton off the waiver wire before he took off, and by watching him play the last 2 1/2 weeks, I'm starting to turn into a believer. So, basically what I'm thinking is that I run with Upton and Hawpe in my 3rd OF and Utility slots, then cycle them in and out if/when Thome actually starts hitting. That pretty much leaves Wells as my odd man out. Now my real question is what kind of pitcher can Vernon Wells get me? I'm pretty sure that I could get Dice-K for him, but not sure as to if I want to do that. Would Zambrano be a better grab for me? The guy with Zambrano is very light in his OF, and I think that he would bite on Z for Wells. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Dice-K? Zambrano? Just sit pat with Wells? What do people think?? Team and scoring cats are below. Leave me a link and I will gladly return the favor!
