I am trying desperately to hang on to JJ, but he will not budge - he is really the only guy I can deal with for a 3rd baseman because he has Carlos Pena, Longoria, and M-Cab
I offered Holliday/JJ instead of Beltran - Reynolds and Beltre are playing pretty well lately so I guess I am not in a desperate situation and could stay put if he will not budge

I agree with this, although I do think you are overpaying for M-Cab, I think this deal will make your team better since Reynolds is kind of a crappy 3B to have starting. It will suck to give JJ away, since he is awesome..but your pitching is still good without him.

I don't think giving up Johnson is the deal breaker. I think your SP should be fine w/o him this season. But you could use help @ both corner if spots IMO. Cabrera would def. help out but I don't think Hawpe does anything for you. You can always add Abreu to starting OF and ride out J. Upton while he's hot right now. Hawpe has always been a spot starter (vs. Righties) anyways. I'd look for different hitter in return.
