It is my 2nd round pick. I am in a 16 team keeper league. I selected Mark Prior with my first pick.
Here are the ones I am looking at:
Jason Giambi -
Brian Giles
Luis Gonzalez
Jim Thome
Sammy Sosa
I am leaning towards Giambi, but our league scores -1 for strikeouts.
These have been taking.
The players that have been selected already are:
ARod
Pujols
Helton
Soriano
Bonds
Vlad
Sheff
Beltran
Manny
Magglio
Delgado
Nomar
Berkman
Tejada
Jeter
Bret Boone
Vernon Wells
Rolen
Go Hokies!

Yes pitchers have been drafted. But I don't want to draft two pitchers with my 1st 2 picks. That is why I only listed the hitters.
Has Giambi dropped that far down? I was thinking that he was a no brainer?
Since it is a keeper I have dropped Sosa off my list.
The K's worry me in terms of Thome
Go Hokies!

I think Giles is probably the most valuable guy o that list, especially with the -1 for strikeouts but he'll still be there with your next pick most likely. I'd probably take Thome and then Giles on the turn.

Bingo to the last point. If hitters lose -1 for Ks, Giles is your guy.

giles is the right call for the k's situation...but there is better, reason i say lee is for average, slg, power and speed, that and abreu...lee will do more though...a 1Bman you can get a little later that will stil give 30+ but not the speed as you will start to see making a turn in the draft to get...

Renteria deserves some consideration as well with Nomar,Tejada and Jeter off the board already. The dropoff after Renteria is pretty steep.
