This looks pretty thin. I'm not sure what kind of league this is, but right off the bat I would scratch Crede and Giambi, both have their best years far behind them. I'm not a believer in Andy LaRoche, he's had quite a bit of playing time and is still hovering around .200 (and laboring to do so). Mike Jacobs and Billy Butler are both in crowded situations in KC, and Jacobs OBP is anemic (under .300 last year). So that leaves us with Overbay, Johnson, Hall, and Stewart. I guess I would take Overbay from that group and hope he is still the 2B machine he used to be. Don't expect outstanding production, however.
As far as your trade idea for Beltre, assuming you have depth in the outfield I don't think its really going to hurt you, but keep realistic projections for Beltre in mind. I think that .260/25/90 is top end production for Beltre, and may be unrealistic considering his slow start.
