I am in same category, but I think I might ride it out with these choices. I'd only consider Escobar. If the others are there, I'd wait another week at least with Alexei
I mean he bats like 8th or 9th every game he plays (which isn't gonna be everyday unless he turns it around) and Yunel I think plays everyday and bats in the top of the lineup. JJ hardy and peralta bat 3-6th, and they have been struggling, I kinda see more value in all of these players than Alexi right now, so RANK EM PLEASE!!!!
Tough one! I would say ride it out. Alexi has the talent to turn it around...yes I know it is really painful right now! But you waiver options aren't worth it!
Assuming this thread is about Alexei Ramirez and not Alexi Casilla, I'd just stick with Ramirez. I think his slow start sucks but isn't a surprise, and he's showing signs of turning it around. Also, his benching is overstated. That was just a short stop on the bench as a wake-up call - he's already back in the starting lineup.
Don't drop Alexei. If you do, and someone else in your league posts here, I guarantee we'll see another post asking "Someone dropped Alexei!!! Who do I drop to pick him up?"
I'd rate the free agents:
Hardy (looks to have broken out of his slump) Yunel (nice run producer with nice lineup spot - Braves offense gets a big boost with McCann back) Peralta (can't really be this awful, can he? Of course, why would you replace one slumping guy with a less-well reagarded slumping guy?) Kaz (best source of SBs on the list, and the average should climb up to the 0.280-0.300 range)
