17th round still no 2B

For this reason or that I have not drafted 2B yet. These are still available:
Rivas
Hudson
Miles
Vina
Roberts

However, as has been the case all along I find myself wanting to pick up other guys:

Aquino Lopez
Jeremy Affeldt
David Wells
Carlos Pena

At this point, I plan to continue waiting on my 2B. I don't see a huge difference in the above 2B players and I believe one of the will still be available in the later rounds.... I may offer a trade to improve at 2B if that becomes a serious hole.

Am I off track???

I'd take a shot with Roberts. With Hariston hurt he could be the starter at 2nd...although watch him because he did have a strained groin.

I'd grab Lopez now to shore up your bullpen, but at least consider going with a 2B next round.

no go on lopez...you've waited this long that id make your last pick a 2Bman, no point in shooting blanks, one will emerge in the waivers and browse thru spring stats to see if any are showing a pulse...

as for relief, i like cordero of montreal if he is still there...he will close as a long shot on that takana? from chicago, koch wont do it long and there was a reason they signed this guy...

Could be a great bargain pick up this late in your draft if he isn't already gone.

All, thanks for the input. I'm certainly watching 2B Weeks and I'm watching to see if a run begins on the remaining crop but I doubt it will. As far as RP go, many are gone even the back-ups and all the hot new arms. From what I've read Lopez is going to get the job as closer, a little surprised he is still available.

Any thoughts on my plan to draft heavy on SP with the plan to trade 1 or 2 for hitters?

I was just informed we are running 21 player rosters, I thought we were going with 25 man rosters. Anyway, I have 3 picks left:

I need a 2B, i have NO backups at 1B, SS or 3B...

So here is my knew plan:

1. Luis Rivas or Orlando Hudson
2. Carlos Pena or Khalil Greene
3. Pedro Feliz (Can cover multilple positions and has above average power) *** BUT will he start???
4. If any of the above get picked I may draft Jeremy Affeldt or David Wells and work a trade.

Any thoughts???
