Grab Buehrle *WHIR*

I want to snatch him up but don't really have a guy to drop.

I am thinking of just taking a loss in the saves category (dropping Ryan Franklin) for a week or so while I try and make this deal for Peavy which should open up a roster spot for me. Closer to me is a very inconsistent position, either you get a couple saves in a week, win the category or it could kill you in ERA and you take losses. It doesn't really help any category besides Saves.

There are plenty of good closers on waivers in this league such as Jenks, Wood, Cordero, Fuentes, Gregg, Wilson, Valverde, Downs, Rodney, Percival, Hoffman...

Thanks, leave a link... ;-D

You said it, you really dont have a guy to drop, which is certainly not a problem.

Stand pat.

Touche, but should I drop Franklin for him? I mean Buehrle is certainly more valuable in this league than another closer, I don't think this is a bad idea considering I have 0 saves this week between he and Jenks.

More thoughts?

I think your reasoning is solid. You'll be able to grab cheap saves as the year progresses (Kip Wells, Andrew Bailey, etc.) These guys will pop up, and we're not even a fourth of the way done with the season. Buerhle is a very good guy to have on your staff, and excellent SPs are more valuable than any closers. I say drop Franklin, pick up Mark. You'll figure your closer situation out as the year progresses.

Hope this helped! Now i could use a little ;-D
