Chris Coghlan called up

Any thoughts on him? The last time Nate Silver had time to do PECOTA does prospects, Coghlan was the top 2B IIRC (which would have been last year). Now its looking like he'll play everyday, hopefully supplanting Bonifacio at 3B (though I think he belongs at 2B). I would compare him to a rookie year Pedroia, solid slash stats, with possible double-digit HR and runs.

given the reports that he'll be playing all over the place and will most likely end up with 2b/3b/of eligibility, i like that a lot. combine that with his minor league track record and the fact that everyone seems to be sleeping on him and you've got a pretty good pickup for deeper leagues.

I think he's a plus defensive version of Michael Young. 2-3 position eligibility, .290 average with an upside of 15-18 HRs in a decent lineup. If they keep him hitting 2nd in front of HanRam and Cantu he could score 80 runs from here out. I dropped Blum to grab him as my backup 3b.

Any predictions (hit his first HR last night) for stats the rest of the way??? I snagged him last week in a blind auction for $7 when I lost A-Ram. (Deep 15 team league and we start two 3B weekly) Not much out there, could of gone with Brendan Harris, but I like the upside of a rookie in Coghlan. PLUS Sportsline had him eligible @ 3B, which is a bonus, cause he is too see OF and 2B duty while with the club. Soon to be Multi Position.
