Adrian Gonzalez/Chris Davis for Miguel Cabrera? The guy needs a 3B as ARam is out. Will this work?

I think it may work. Who would you plug in at Util?

Well, I could pick up Atkins who is a FA or use Hardy/DeRosa. The 2 for 1 will give me an extra roster spot so I can pick up someone else. Is Cabrera worth both Gonzalez and Davis?

Thanks for the reply.

Getting Cabrera for Gonzalez/Davis looks good on paper, but it leaves you with a hole at 1B. Unless you can get a decent replacement there, I'd stand pat. And I'm a huge fan of Miggy.

Here's the way I look at it, I think A.Gon is probably underrated by just about everybody, but Cabrera is a stud and should improve you in just about every category over A.Gon. So, you're left with, can you replace Davis's production on the waiver wire...and Atkins, IMO has a great chance to at least match Davis in most categories and is likely an improvement in Avg. I think it's worth it.

Miggy would play 1B.

Sure, I think that's a great deal for you. I wouldn't accept it if I was the other guy though. Chris Davis has been awful. I can't imagine feeling good about trading away my best hitter to get Davis in the lineup. Right now Davis is a guy you might want to stash on the bench, hoping he starts living up to his potential - not a guy you want to be forced to play everyday.

I would do it only if your replacement at Utility is decent. A.Gonz is underrated & Davis could put together a strong season...but anytime you can get a top 8 guy without selling the entire farm, you probably gotta do it.

only thing is (if its even possible) you are buying MCab high. 385 avg is sure to fall back to earth. and while it will probably still end up a very-very good 320ish, you will be the one stuck with the stats during that 65 pt freefall. just some food for thought.

its good enuf, if you luv MCab...just do it.

thx for help on mine
