Jonathan Sanchez. Sit or Start vs. Manny-less Dodgers?

Postby grumpy77 » Sat May 09, 2009 3:16 am

Here's my situation. I'm currently in 11th of 12 in a highly competitive league. I am middle of the pack in wins with 14, but the max is 18 and the low is 11. I am winning in Ks with a K/9 just above 9 and 8 innings projected over in Yahoo, and am last in ERA with 4.8 and middle on the lower end of WHIP with 1.39. What do you guys think? Start for the Ks and possible win, or sit for the ERA and WHIP? Oh, and Manny's out.

Here's my pitching if it helps

SP: Peavy, Beckett, Burnett, Garza, Cueto, Sanchez
RP: Valverde (DL), Fuentes, Qualls, Kip Wells

8+ over projected

I made the mistake of starting him because I am lagging behind in wins.

And I paid, again, and he is dropped for the second time of the season! He is not looking good or consistent, I would drop him in favor of another pitcher such as Scott Baker or Bannister on Kansas if they are available as free agents.
