i'd try the second deal first, always see what you can squeeze out. But Agonz + soto for hamilton is really good value, especially in a keeper league. People forget the Hamilton is almost 30. So in that deal you go young and don't give up much value

I like this move...especially if he includes Kemp. In all honesty, I think Hamilton is probably closer in value to A-Gon then we think. Time will tell...

I like this offer plenty. You could end up winning this at each slot.

I like the deal with Upton as a keeper. He will be a monster next year and after.

Thanks for help on mine.

Agreed with this, if you can get Justin Upton in the deal..that would be huge in a keeper league.

I love your counter offer and getting Pence or JUpton would be icing on the cake. I would actually rather have Pence but either one is good to have especially in a keeper.

thanks for your help with mine

soto has fallen off of the face of the earth... last year he started off gangbusters en route to his .280/23/86 or whatever it was, and this year he's beyond bad, he's pretty damn awful. so looking ahead in a keeper, you wonder if soto is just having a crap year, or maybe his quick rise through the minors into the majors and then into major fantasy stud was a bit much adn he's leveling out to be a middling .260/10-15/50ish guy, you know, just another middling catcher in the glut of catchers...

still tho, i dont think saltalamacchia is some sort of catching wunderkind, esp cuz i think taylor teagarden is a much much better hitter and currently behind him... i dunno how his defense/calling-a-game is, but offensively he hasn't been the boy wonder he was supposed to be when he came over for teixeira, so maybe they go with teagarden within a year or two!?@

still, taking a flyer on soto might not be horrible just in case he really *is* that 20+ HR guy, and beyond that obviously getting adrian golzanez is what you wanna do here... i'd trade hamilton for him in a heartbeat cuz hamilton, whilst having the pedigree of a #1 pick and all, is a drug addled dude and he was AWOL for years and showed up and had a promising year in cincy and then a year of being the man in texas, and now he's injured this hurt that and i wouldnt be surprised if he was on the juice and he'll have these odd injuries cuz i mean, if you're a guy like him and you're running out of chances to make your millions in MLB you'd do anything... right?!@ i dont think the guy is as good as last year would make you believe he was, so if you can get trade value for what he was last year then that's a very very good job, cuz adrian gonzalez like >>> >'s better than hamilton.

and yeah if you can get justin upton do that cuz he's showed absolutely brilliant flashes of the out-n-out studliness that comes from being drafted #1 overall in a draft. for about a week there he was as hot as one could be, the only problem is that he didnt really have people on base when he went on his HR odyssey,s o most of those shots were solo shots.

supposedly he can steal a lot of bases and has a perpetual green light but has only helped himself to two in the last week or so.

that said, i'd do this deal to get a-gonz over hamilton, even if it means taking on soto and maybe having to cut him out entirely... maybe this is a WBC-messed-up year seeing as he had a shoulder problem when teh season started, go figure... regardless, a-gonz is on the up and up and as long as you get the best individual player in a trade, well, 9 times out of 10 you'll always win teh trade

I would definitely keep your counter out there and push for Upton to be in there.... The initial offer has me going both ways, but I keep coming back to "go for it" by a small margin.

Thanks for your voice.

with morneau and howard, you don't have a pressing need for gonzalez. I would continue to negotiate with him, but unless you can get more return value at OF, no, I would pass on this deal.

If anything, counter for the OF upgrade. I like getting Upton, given keeper format. Your 1B depth should be a bargaining tool for you, see how much he really wants Hamilton in negotiations. If he really wants him, he'll want to put out what you need (OF depth) in order to prompt you to add to a glut of 1B. If he balks, keeping Hamilton is no big deal.

Thanks for your help ;-D
