First-time roto player, the league is 12 teams, 5x5, non-keeper.

C - Kendall
1B - Ortiz
2B - Kennedy
3B - Ensberg
SS - Tejada
OF - Vlad, Ichiro, Giles
UTIL - Jenkins
BN - Bradley

SP - Prior, Zito
RP - Looper, Wickman
P - Ponson, Maddux, Milton
BN - Wakefield, Riske, Soriano, E. Jackson

Is that too much pitching? Not enough saves? Some interesting FAs:
Burrell, LeCroy, Durham, Alomar
Affeldt, Eaton, Kolb, Ayala, Herges, Speier, Felix Rod.

Whaddaya think?

I would get Kolb for Jackson, and Durham for Riske, to give you more depth

Yeah, only thing about that is my little plan with Riske as Wickman-insurance. But it seems like I'll be able to pick up at least a couple closers along the way. Seems like Riske's numbers might point toward a nice year in the role if Wickman falters, and Wick doesn't seem like a sure thing at all. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll mull it over. Anyone else? ;-D

Looks pretty good, except your closers. I'd drop Soriano, Riske, and Jackson for Durham, Kolb, and Eaton.

Burrell as a FA is killing me. I want him, then don't want him. It's like hitting on 16 in blackjack, or that girl you KNOW is bad news in the long run but you just can't stay away from. Anyway :-o

he's got to rebound, right? Is 40 HR, 100+ RBI out of the question?

I think 40 might be asking a bit too much. Maybe around 30. But I'm not too high on him until I see something from him.
