Accept trade for Josh Hamilton?

Postby Tenacious D-Store » Fri May 08, 2009 3:20 am

I get
Josh Hamilton and Chris Volstad

I give up
AJ Burnett and Clayton Kershaw.

This is his response to my offer of Fontenot, AJ and Greinke for his Pedroia and Volstad which he obviously didn't care for. Based on his response with this counter offer he believes this offer should be offensive to me. I'm thinking about taking it. This is a 20 team 6x6 (OPS and HOLDS) roto league.

I would do it. YOu have a great OF, especially for a 20 teamer, but adding Hamilton would put you over the top. Also, I'm not a huge Burnett fan ..... and I think Volstad is going to have a nice year.

Help me out man?

I like Volstad too, I don't like what the new Yankees stadium is doing to pitchers there. It's a launching pad.

This. ^^^

If Hamilton comes back OK from this oblique tear or whatever, he is going to be beasting it in that ballpark on those 90 plus degrees days/nights, with a stacked lineup around him.

Without a doubt man... Hamilton went 1st and 2nd round this year.... may or may not be worth that early of a pick but in that lineup he can get some solid numbers.. plus u get back Volstad..... I personally hate Burnett (as a Jays fan!) He gets lit up alot! Do it before he changes his mind..

Help with mine please

Do it. Kershaw is all over the place, Burnett isn't much more reliable and Volstad is going to have a nice little year for himself. There's that Hamilton guy thrown in there, too.

This trade is undoubtedly in your favor. You should accept it before he realizes his mistake and rescinds the offer. Hamilton is huge and even if he isn't top form he'll be able to DH when he comes back. Right now Volstad and Kershaw are nearly on a par so it's really you just giving up Burnett for Hamilton which is a no brainer.

A little help for a friend?
