Any Tigers fans here? What is wrong with this guy? Is he done? I'm in a 12 team H2H league, and looking to maybe improve my SP, so what types of SP's are being traded for him straight up? I know his value has plummeted, but at this point, I am willing to trade him for a high risk, nice upside young player. Any ideas thanks and of course WHIR.

Yep, steroids add .100 points to your batting average. They also give you the ability to walk on water.

Interesting...I was just going to respond that its still early to be worried about a slumping player but NOT too early to worry if Mags has made a successful transition from steroids to HGH. If not he may actually play like a guy with diminishing skills.

Well, roids or not, he just isn't hitting at all. Although he did show some signs of life today going 2-4 I believe.

Any updated thoughts on Maggs, now that another month has gone by? A month which, if anything, he got even more worthless. Yeah, the average is up a little. But no home runs since April, and pitiful run and rbi production. I like to consider myself a patient fbb manager. But at this point, I'm seriously considering pulling the plug on him. Outright drops in shallow leagues, or trading him away at a massive discount (at least going by draft-position value).

Isn't he old in baseball terms? Some players just hit a brick wall and decline rapidly instead of slowly fading away. Maybe he's just one of those that rapidly declines. I know I've read (well skimmed) a few articles that talked about Maggs, which seemed to imply they believe its a case of diminished skills.

In my 10 team league, I've spent the last week trying to move him (in package deals). No luck. Gavin Floyd is a FA in my league, so if he puts together one more QS today, I plan to drop Ordonez for him. Otherwise, Madson is a FA and I could use a few SVs, even if it's only temporary.
