I am giving up Pedroia for Jake Peavy and Edinson Volquez.......seems like along with Felix Hernandez and Rich Harden my starters would become dominant but I am always skeptical about picking up pitchers in trades for proven hitters......looking for your thoughts..

Without seeing your roster, I'd say that's a great trade.

Its a league with a 2B, SS and 2b/SS positions, and I have Hanley, Brian Roberts, and Stephen Drew on my DL, whom I just picked up. I thought that since I was deep at the spot it would work.

Having your lineup would provide better perspective on a deal like this. But looks like a good deal from the outside....
